The venue
Where is The Conference Centre located, and how do I get there?
The Conference Centre is located in downtown Toronto on the University of Toronto campus, easily accessible by TTC subway, streetcar and major downtown routes.
Is parking available on site?
Yes. Paid parking is available on site in the underground parking garage. There are also many parking lots nearby. Rates and availability vary depending on the day and time.
What types of events can the space accommodate?
The venue supports a wide range of events, including conferences, academic symposia, hybrid meetings, workshops, training sessions, board meetings, receptions and social functions.
Are your facilities accessible?
Yes. The Conference Centre meets AODA standards with barrier-free entrances, elevators, an accessible stage in the Grand Ball room and accessible washrooms, service-animal accommodation, and staff trained to support accessibility needs.
Event Planning & Booking
How far in advance should I book my event?
We recommend booking as early as possible—especially for large or peak-season events—to ensure space availability. Smaller meetings can often be accommodated on shorter notice.
Can I tour The Conference Centre before booking?
Yes. Virtual and in-person tours can be scheduled with our Events Team. 3D tours of each space are available on our website. We encourage site visits to help clients visualize room setups and confirm event logistics.
Can external (non-university) groups book events?
Absolutely. While we frequently host U of T events, The Conference Centre welcomes corporate, government, nonprofit, healthcare and community organizations.
Event Services
Do you offer catering services?
Yes. Full-service onsite catering is available, featuring customizable menus crafted by our Executive Chef. Dietary accommodations such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and kosher-style options can be arranged. All catering services are provided by our in-house culinary team; external vendors are not permitted.
What audiovisual technology is included?
Meeting rooms feature a variety of AV options – ask your event coordinator to check the details for each specific room. Wi-Fi is included, and the venue is staffed with an highly skilled AV team that is ready to service all of our client’s specific needs. External AV companies can be used; a 20 per cent fee will apply.
Do you offer sustainability-focused event options?
Yes. As part of the University of Toronto, The Conference Centre is committed to sustainable practices such as waste reduction, energy-efficient facilities, reusable serviceware and locally-sourced catering options.
